Ages 5–14
Action-packed summer days of martial arts, games, and growth.
About this program
Highkicks Martial Arts Summer Camp gives children ages 5–14 an active summer experience at our Chantilly and South Riding locations. Camp combines Taekwondo training with games, fitness, teamwork, creative activities, and character-building lessons in a structured environment where children can make friends and stay engaged throughout the day.
Campers participate in Taekwondo instruction designed for different ages and experience levels. Complete beginners can learn foundational skills, while current martial arts students continue practicing and improving. Training may include kicking, balance, coordination, forms, fitness drills, and other age-appropriate activities that help children stay active while working toward personal goals.
A good summer camp should offer variety. Between martial arts sessions, campers participate in team games, arts and crafts, fitness challenges, themed activities, and other supervised experiences. These activities give children opportunities to cooperate, communicate, solve problems, and practice positive behavior with peers and staff.
Highkicks instructors reinforce the same principles during camp that students practice in Taekwondo classes: respect, focus, perseverance, self-control, helping others, and taking responsibility. Children are encouraged to try new things, recover from mistakes, and recognize improvement through effort.
Children do not need to be enrolled in regular Taekwondo classes to participate. New campers can discover martial arts in a relaxed summer setting, while current students have additional opportunities to practice familiar skills. Our goal is to keep the day varied enough to stay fun while maintaining the routines and expectations that help children feel secure, understand what comes next, and participate positively with the group.
Highkicks offers summer camp at both Chantilly and South Riding for families throughout Northern Virginia. No previous martial arts experience is required. Camp schedules, available weeks, and enrollment options may vary, so families should contact the appropriate studio for current dates and availability. If you want a summer program that combines movement, learning, friendship, and martial arts, Highkicks is ready to welcome your child.
